Built a dual 15 Octobox for a first time competitor last year and he went on to win finals and set a new record with it in TNESPL, so he decided to go bigger this year headbang.gif

Equipment for the Tahoe build is:
(4) Audioque HDC315d1 aluminum coil version
(1)American Bass VFL 1100.1 12v version
Several big Batcap batteries and a high output alternator
and of coarse most importantly....a badass Box Guy Octobox!

Very interesting use of all thread! Installed miles of it hangin pipe, but never thought of bracing a enclosure with it? Can you tune it by tightening it or loosing it? headbang.gif

No, it just stiffens the whole structure of the box while taking up very minimal box volume. You could swap the port to change tuning since it's removable.

I used 1" wood dowels they worked great and didn't cause much turbulence! never had a box split using them either. Just a thought they are cheaper!

I do use dowels also, and I like them, but this box will be subject to a 12,500w at 1ohm rated amp running at .5ohms....so it'll see A LOT of power and I wanted it to withstand anything he could possible to do it.
